It's spring

Spring came very early this year! It's muddy, it's mostly sunny and it's wonderful.

New year and new snow

New year came and all kinds of new year resolutions were made. I love making those resolutions, they inspire me. I also love reading about them, like in this post.

Yesterday we got snow. It's been a warm winter and I'm okay with that but because of kids I hoped for some snow. Even a little.

I've also been knitting but because it's for a publication overseas which won't be published until next year, I can't show it. But I've already ordered some new yarn so I can start a new knitting project right after I've finished this one. So excited!

Yesterday morning

After spending Christmas eve indoors, it was time to take a stroll outside. The sun was just rising, the weather was warm (a few plus degrees Celsius) and nice.

Frost

Frost
It was everywhere, beautiful and sparkly. The nature is waiting for snow and so are we.

Hoodie

That's the name of this color to be exact. And what a lovely color it is, looks both green and blue and shines beautifully. When I received the yarn, I did some swatching and decided to follow the KISS-principle (keep it simple, stupid) and just play with stockinette and reverse stockinette. I love how light reflects differently from smooth stockinette and from more textured reverse stockinette. Oh, and the yarn, it's Tosh DK.

Hoodie

I worked this hoodie in one piece (except the elbow patches of course, they're sewn on later) from top down, beginning with the hood. I was a bit afraid of running out of yarn so after I finished the yoke, I made the sleeves and then continued with the body. At the end I even had some yarn left.
